Monday, doctors will try to remove a bullet lodged in the shoulder of a 25-year-old road rage victim in Dallas.
According to a police report, Eric Gonzalez said he was driving shortly after midnight Saturday when another driver pulled up next to him at the West Camp Wisdom Road and Westmoreland traffic light.
Gonzalez told police the other driver shouted at him, "Stay in your lane! Stay in your lane!"
When the light turned green, Gonzalez said he kept driving. Then he heard a gunshot followed by pain in his right shoulder.
Gonzalez was hospitalized with a bullet in the shoulder and listed in stable condition.
"He's says he heard something," Arthur Gonzalez, the victim's father told NBCDFW. "But he kept going because it was just a few blocks from where he was going to go. Before you know it, he says he got shot."
Police are searching for leads in the shooting.
