Police Make Arrests in Two Driveway Robberies

Dallas police have made arrests in connection to at least two driveway robberies.

The Dallas Police Department has investigated 20 robberies which have occurred in residential driveways as the victims have arrived home dating back to Jan. 2.

Arrests have been made in two of these attacks. Police have not released any additional information about the arrested suspects.

The suspect descriptions vary, however, in the majority of these robberies.

The suspects have been seen wearing either ski masks, or a black hooded sweatshirt, and the types of weapons used in each attack differs between knives and guns

The victims have all been women.

Police said that due to the varied suspect descriptions and weapons used in each robbery, it is unlikely that all robberies were committed by one person or group.

Neighborhood community associations continue to alert residents about any potential threats.

โ€œThe neighborhood association let us know to just be aware the moment we step out of the house, and to be aware of our other neighbors or anything that seems strange or out of place, especially cars we are not familiar with,โ€ said Paula Hughes of Lake Highlands.

Dallas police urge residents to be aware of their surroundings and report suspicious activity to the police immediately.

โ€œWe are just very aware," said Shannon Gould of Dallas. "We watch our surroundings. We make sure we look around before we get out of the car. I donโ€™t pull in the garage by myself, I make sure my husband is watching."
