Missing Dallas Man Found

Dallas police are searching for Yaseen Mehdi Abbas, 24, after community members say he disappeared Jan. 18, 2013.

UPDATE: Yaseen Mehdi Abbas has been found in Dallas.

According to family members, Abbas was found near Maple and McKinney in Dallas late Monday afternoon and is being treated at Parkland Hospital.

No futher information surrounding his disappearance or any possible injuries was provided by family members or the hospital.

A groundswell of support for finding Abbas had risen over the weekend, after the 24-year-old man was last seen Jan. 18 near his apartment.

A candlelight vigil for Abbas was planned for Monday night. It has been canceled as Abbas has now been found.

A reward of $10,000 from the family was being offered for information into the disappearance at one time. We do not know if that reward has been claimed.
