A man is in the hospital after being shot by a Dallas Police.  Residents who heard the incident are rattled.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 12100 block of Audelia Road in Dallas around 9:00 p.m. Saturday. "Officers responded to a family disturbance call. And when they arrived, they were confronted by an armed individual, and they fired upon him," an officer told NBC DFW.

The man was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. His condition and identity have not been publicly released.  No police officers were injured.

Brian Johnson, a neighbor, told NBC DFW that arguments are common at the apartment complex.

He called security after hearing an argument.  "Probably five to six minutes later, I heard gunshots and police and all that... I thought this is it," Johnson said.  "I got down, I was scared. I didn't know what was going on."
