Arlington Police Arrest Man in Shooting Death
Police arrested a 25-year-old Arlington man in connection with the shooting death of a woman who was found in the parking lot of her apartment complex Thursday night. Police said Roshan Sah was arrested on Class C misdemeanor warrants Friday afternoon and later charged with murder in the slaying of 22-year-old Linda Villanueva-Rodriguez, an acquaintance. Her body was found in the parking lot of the Sutter Home Apartments at about 9 p.m. with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Arlington police said residents reported several gunshots shortly before the woman's body was found.

Man Killed in Single-Car Crash on Closed Road
A Rhome man was killed in a bizarre crash overnight in Fort Worth. Thomas Adams, 26, slammed into a backhoe in the 1600 block of East Weatherford Street. To hit the backhoe, Adams had to go around a police barricade, up a sidewalk and finally onto a closed road. Adams was the only person in the truck. There were no other reported injuries.

Sex Offender Strikes Again, Police Say
A convicted North Texas sex offender is charged with having sex with a 16-year-old Garland girl. Police said they believe Brandon Coppock met the girl online. Investigators said Coppock has had contact with other underage girls as well. Coppock was convicted in 2007 of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

Woman Crashes into Police Cruiser
An off-duty police officer is recovering Friday after a driver crashed her BMW into his police cruiser. The officer from the Bardwell Police Department was providing traffic control for a construction crew in Coppell just before midnight when his car was hit from behind in the westbound lanes of Interstate 635 near Freeport Parkway. The driver who struck the officer's car said she didn't notice the stopped vehicles in the roadway. The officer was transported to an area hospital after complaining of neck pain.

Mother, 2 Children Killed in Waco Mobile Home Fire
A mother and her two children died when their mobile home in Waco caught on fire. Firefighters who were called to the mobile home Thursday night found it ablaze with the woman and children trapped inside.
