Police Blotter: Man Shot in Chest in NRH

Here's a list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Sept 5, 2011.

A hunt is on for the gunman who shot a man in the chest on the 6600 block of Dewsbury Street in North Richland Hills overnight Sunday.  After the shooting, the gunman dropped his weapon and fled the scene. Officials said the victim was airlifted to an area hospital, where he remains in an unknown condition. Police have not revealed the relationship between the two men.

Arnoldo Solgado, two days away from his 38th birthday, was killed in a hosue fire Sunday in Grand Prairie. The fire broke out at about 10:15 p.m. inside the one-story house on the 2300 block of Avenue C.  Not much else is known about the fire at this time. A car rolled over on Woodall Rodgers Freeway overnight Sunday near Field Street.  Two lanes of the highway were blocked for short time while EMS responders assisted those involved in the crash.
