Police Blotter: Fugitive Shot in Fort Worth

Fugitive Shot to Death in Fort Worth
Fort Worth police say a sexual assault suspect who had barricaded himself in a home on Williams Place was shot to death by authorities when he walked out pointing a firearm. Police were helping U.S. Marshals arrest the man Tuesday evening. The man was wanted out of Georgia for sexual assault of a child and enticing a child. Fort Worth police say after the man barricaded himself in the Fort Worth home, the SWAT team was called. Police say the suspect was shot several times and died at the scene.

Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Crash
The driver of a Nissan Sentra was killed early Wednesday morning when his car struck a curb, then a concrete wall  and a tree.  Witnesses told police the driver was moving a high rate of speed when he struck the curb after crossing through Henderson on the northbound Central service road.  The passenger in the car has to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters.  He was transported to an area hospital and is in serious condition.

Search Under Way for Man Missing on Lake Lewisville
Rescuers from The Colony and Lewisville spent much of the early evening Tuesday searching for a man who fell out of a boat and into Lake Lewisville at about 7 p.m. The search lasted for nearly two hours before being suspended due to darkness and was expected to resume early Wednesday morning.

Wills Point Man Added to Texas Most Wanted Sex Offenders List

Ronald Dee House, 41, (pictured, right) has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list and authorities are offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to his arrest. House is a high-risk sex offender who was last seen in Wills Point in Van Zandt County. He is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and parole violations. His criminal history includes convictions for sexual assault, burglary of a habitation, assault, possession of marijuana and failure to appear.  House goes by the nickname "Chicken Lips." He has several tattoos, including a cross on his upper left arm, a rose and heart on his upper back, moon and stars on his upper left chest and a dagger and the words "ERIC RONNIE" on his upper right chest. In the past, House has worked in metal fabrication. He has family in Van Zandt and Lubbock counties. Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in three different ways: Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477); Text the letters DPS-followed by your tip-to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone or by submitting a tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture to submit a web tip. Carrollton Chase Ends in Crash
A police chase in Carrollton ended in a one-car crash Wednesday afternoon.  The driver crashed at about 1:40 p.m. in the southbound HOV lane of Interstate 35E. The driver was taken into custody and the vehicle may have been stolen.

Three Escape Fort Worth House Fire
Three people jumped from a window to escape a house fire Wednesday afternoon.  The 1-alarm fire broke out around noon on the 1200 block of Hawthorne.  One of the occupants is reported to have a broken leg and broken arm from the jump.  No other injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
