Police: Alleged Rapist Targeted Victims on Craigslist

McKinney police say another woman has come forward claiming she too was sexually assaulted by a man police arrested Thursday. That brings the total number of cases to 3, and investigators believe there could be more victims.

McKinney police and U.S. Marshals arrested 40-year-old Roger Stulce Jr. for felony sexual assault Thursday. Investigators say he raped a woman who responded to an ad he posted on Craigslist.

Police say Stulce would have as many as five ads on Craigslist at any given time, looking for a housekeeper or someone to sublet his apartment, at the Villas of Eldorado, in McKinney.

NBC 5 found one of the ads, looking for a woman to clean and do laundry. The ad, posted July 7 states, "I will allow someone to stay rent free, if they are willing to help me out with my needs."

"That is his m.o., to lure unsuspecting women to his apartment," said McKinney Police Deputy Chief Kim Malolepszy. "Once the women get there, he makes it clear that his interest is sex."

Police say Stulce has a history of soliciting women for sex. He was just released from jail in March for solicitation of a prostitute. Police say he wasted little time, getting back to his old tricks.

"We do believe that there are more victims out there," said Deputy Chief Malolepszy.

McKinney police are asking anyone who responded to one of these Craigslist ads to please contact Cpl. Matt Baxter at 972-547-2773.

Stulce is being held in the Collin County Jail on $200,000 bond.
