Downtown Dallas can expect to get more green in its scenery.
The Plaza of the Americas will close its public ice-skating rink and replace it with a lush indoor park.
Developers say the new space will make the plaza more attractive to renters, even though the area is already a popular lunch venue.
The makeover will reportedly include adding olive trees, tall bamboo, dining areas and retail pavilions.
The project is expected to be finished by Spring 2013.
