The Deputy Superintendent of the Plano Independent School District is out of a job and more cuts may be on the way.
The district is eliminating the position held by Danny Modisette due to a $65 million budget shortfall.
By not having to pay his salary, the district is saving a reported $190,000.
Administrators said the elimination of that job is only one cutback and that more layoffs are possible, including teachers.
