Plane Returns for Emergency Landing in Ohio

An airplane heading from Cincinnati to Dallas-Fort Worth has made an emergency landing at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

An airport spokeswoman says American Eagle Flight 3162 returned to the airport and landed safely Monday night. She says there were no injuries among the 53 passengers and crew. Passengers have been taken back to the terminal.

American Eagle did not immediately return a request for comment.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the plane landed at about 7:30 p.m. because of smoke coming from a "main gear." It says it was unclear what caused the smoke.
