The Federal Aviation Administration has been alerted after a plane made a belly landing in Addison on Sunday.

It happened just after 11 a.m. at Addison Airport, according to the fire department.

The Addison Fire Department said the pilot of a Cessna airplane alerted the tower that the landing gear would not deploy.

Addison firefighters were standing by as the plane made a belly landing at the airport.

The Cessna, with a student pilot and instructor on board, landed with no injuries and no fuel leaks.

The incident is under investigation.
