A man is believed to have fallen or jumped from the bridge at Interstate 30 and Hulen Street in west Fort Worth some time Wednesday.
Police said they do not know how the man fell from the bridge, saying they do not know if he jumped or was struck by a car on the bridge and then fell.
The man struck the median, and his body was found by a passerby Wednesday morning.
Initial reports indicated he was struck by a car after jumping into traffic, but police later said that was not the case.
Investigators believe the man may have been lying there for several hours before rescuers found him.
He was transported to an area hospital, but his condition was not immediately known.
