A person was struck and killed by a TRE train Wednesday morning west of the Medical/Market Center Station.
The incident occurred when a westbound train struck the person walking along the tracks near a trestle not far from Interstate 35E and Commonwealth, according to DART.
The train was going about 55 mph at the time of the collision. No one on board the train was injured.
The victim has not yet been identified. Dallas Fire-Rescue assisted with the technical rescue of removing the deceased.
DART said TRE trains were delayed for a short while and that service has now resumed.
