A cold blast whipped through the DFW area Thursday night, and Friday afternoon people at the Musicarte Festival in downtown Fort Worth were really feeling it.
The people who decided to brave the cold did get to enjoy some festive music and one-of-a-kind art.
A lot of the visitors said after Thursday's hot, muggy weather, they were not expecting the cooler temps. One man was even wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and shorts. Others were better prepared with sweaters and jackets.
Some vendors had a message for people who were thinking about skipping the festival because of the cooler weather.
"It's not that cold, no, no, just because I have three jackets on, it's not that cold," Joan Carol said.
Vendor Bee Jenkins tried to stay optimistic.
”We’re hoping that the sun will come out and it's going to clear up, and people will come out," she said. "We’re real excited for tomorrow because I know it's going to be fabulous. "
Sunshine is expected to come out Saturday and warm the weather up a bit. The festival goes continues through Saturday.
