A man in Plano who jumped in front of oncoming traffic sustained serious injuries.

There were many traffic delays Wednesday night on Central Expressway in Plano after a driver hit a pedestrian and the responding ambulance wrecked near the scene.

It happened near Parker Road.

A man jumped into oncoming traffic and according to police was hit by multiple cars.

He was taken to Medical Center Plano in serious condition.

As a result of the accident, Plano police shut down a stretch of southbound 75 while they investigated.

Traffic backed up all way to McKinney, but the congestion has now cleared.
