Fort Worth’s favorite Christmas parade is lighting up Sundance Square this Sunday, and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (FWTA) is making it easier than ever to fight the traffic.
The FWTA is offering a $3.50 roundtrip ride to the parade which is taking place at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The bus service will take passengers from Farrington Field to FWTA’s Intermodal Transportation Center starting at 2 p.m.
"We will have transit ambassadors and supervisors at Farrington Field to offer assistance to anyone planning to ride the bus to the Parade of Lights," said Shawn Donaghy, the FWTA chief operating officer and vice president. "Parking is free at Farrington Field and it's a convenient option for avoiding traffic congestion."
The Parade of Lights illuminates downtown every year to kick off the holiday season. The parade website suggests to get there early to shop, drink some hot chocolate, and grab something to eat before the parade kicks off at 6 p.m.
There will be also “Cowboy Santas” riding around the route about a half hour before the parade to pick up toys for kids in need, according to the Parade of Lights website.
If visitors are coming from the east, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) is running from Dallas starting at 2:35 p.m.

The last bus will depart from the Intermodal Transportation at 10 p.m. to take shuttle users back to their cars.
