Papa John's Holds Fundraiser for Fallen Officer

For once, the Facebook rumors are true.  Papa Johns pizza will indeed be donating a portion of Wednesday's profits to the family of fallen Arlington police officer Craig Story.

For the fundraiser, all Papa John's restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth will donate 10 percent of their net sales received between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The pizza chain will make the donation to the Arlington Police Association who will give it to the officer's family.

On Monday, El Arroyo Restaurant in Arlington also donated a percentage of sales to the officer's family, according to The 33.

On Jan. 13, Story, was pursuing a speeding vehicle with his lights and sirens on in the northbound lanes of South Cooper Street when he struck a southbound school bus that was turning left at Lynda Lane, police said.  Story's motorcycle burst into flames and he was killed.

Story, 34, is survived by his wife Danielle, and son, John.
