Security Guard Shot at Dallas Strip Club

Guard expected to be OK after being shot in the leg

Police are investigating a late-night shooting at a strip club in Dallas.

Officials said a security guard at the Onyx Club was shot overnight Friday while trying to break up a fight between two groups of people.

At some point during the confrontation, someone pulled out a gun and shot the guard in the leg.

The guard was rushed to the hospital. Police believe he is going to be OK. The gunman fled the scene and is still at-large.

The club is located in the 10000 block of Wire Way just north of West Northwest Highway, near Interstate 35E.  Saturday morning, officers remained at the club collecting evidence and trying to piece together what happened.

Police said they took several people into custody in connection with the shooting, though none of them are suspected to be the gunman.
