One Killed in Southwest Arlington Double Shooting

Arlington police are investigating a double-shooting that left one person dead and another injured late Monday night.

Police said they were called to a shooting along the 6400 block of Treepoint Drive at about 10:20 p.m. Officers arrived to find a 19-year-old man dead in the street and a 20-year-old man nearby suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The 19-year-old, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was apparently shot multiple times. The condition of the second victim is not yet known.

Investigators are in the process of interviewing the surviving victim and other witnesses at the scene to determine what happened and who may be involved.

Arlington police have announced no suspects or arrests in connection with the shootings.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Byron Stewart at 817-459-5691. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward by contacting Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.

The shooting location is very near where 18-year-old Carl Wilson was fatally shot in the head in January 2015. Wilson, who died at the scene, was also found dead along Treepoint Drive.
