One Killed, Driver Arrested in Suspected DWI Crash: Police

A suspected drunk driver is under arrest after a three-car crash that left one person dead late Monday night, police say.

The crash happened at about 11 p.m. at the intersection of Garland Road and North Buckner Boulevard, Dallas police say. The driver, who has not been identified, allegedly ran a red light and crashed into two other cars.

Firefighters extricated a woman who was a passenger in one of the struck cars. She later died at the hospital.

Her identity has not been released. 

The driver who police said caused the crash was taken into custody and faces possible charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
