One Dead After Shooting in Azle

Police in Azle said an argument between two men led to a deadly shooting Sunday evening.

In a statement, Azle Interim Chief D.D. West said police received a 911 call about a disturbance in the 600 block of South Stewart Street at about 5:54 p.m.

Officers said a man pulled out a gun and shot 40-year-old Bradley Bettis multiple times.

Authorities pronounced Bettis dead at the scene.

Police said the shooter, whose name has not yet been released, voluntarily surrendered to police.
