Residents in a North Richland Hills neighborhood were forced out of their homes overnight by police after a domestic disturbance call in the area.

Officers from the North Richland Hills police responded to a 911 call in the 6700-block of Manor Drive at about 6 p.m. Sunday.

Officers said they were advised that a person involved in the domestic disturbance had access to weapons and was alone in his home.

SWAT was called to secure the area and evacuate residents from neighboring homes, according to police. SWAT obtained a search warrant and entered the home at about 2 a.m.

Police said that the person left the location sometime after the original 911 call was received.

Authorities searched the area for the person and then allowed neighbors to return to their homes.

The investigation is ongoing, according to officials.
