Two Officers, Suspect Injured in Dallas

Two Dallas Police officers and a male suspect are in the hospital after a family violence call turned into a vehicle pursuit.

According to DPD, a female called police to report a family violence incident and gave a detailed description of the suspect and vehicle.

Officers responded to the incident and found the suspected vehicle near Investor Rd, where officers attempted a traffic stop.

Police say while the officers exited their vehicle, the suspect struck one of them with his vehicle.

The suspect continued to drive up the block and encountered more officers before police say he began to punch out the front windshield of the vehicle with his hands.

The pursuit ended around Westmoreland and Camp Wisdom Rd. in Dallas.

The officers attempted to place the suspect under arrest when the suspect struck another officer in the nose.

Both injured officers were transported to Methodist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was transported to Parkland Hospital in stable condition.

Police said they were not releasing the name of the suspect until he had been booked into the Dallas County jail.

Earlier reports stated only one officer was injured. Confirmed information from Dallas Police says two officers were injured in seperate events.
