Natural Grocers is recalling a product that could be contaminated with salmonella.
The recall involves Natural Grocers brand ten ounce Caribbean Nut and Fruit Mix.
It contains macadamia nuts that have the potential of being contaminated with salmonella.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and others with weakened immune systems.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
The product was distributed to Natural Grocers' 97 stores located in 17 states, including Texas.
Consumers can return it to the store for a refund.
