All northbound lanes of the Sam Rayburn Tollway were closed Monday morning following a fatal crash.
Early Monday an 18-wheeler collided with a car, killing the 20-year-old driver, Kim Donghyun, of Allen.
Texas Highway Patrol investigators said Donghyun went off the shoulder, struck a guardrail and then spun into a lane where it was hit by the big-rig.
The driver of the truck, Adrian Martin, was treated and released. Martin was hauling mail for the United States Postal Service in the trailer. The trailer was not damaged in the incident.
The crash closed all northbound lanes of state Highway 121 at Custer Road near Central Expressway. The roadway reopened around noon so that crews could clean up an oil spill related to the crash.
While the investigation into the crash continues, officials said no charges are expected to be filed against Martin.
