North Texas is no stranger to strong storms like the ones that have pushed through in recent weeks.
New statistics from Allstate back that perception up, ranking the Top 25 Texas counties in terms of frequency of hail and wind damage claims from 2011 to 2015.
North Texas counties in the top 11 include:
3. Dallas County
5. Johnson County
6. Ellis County
7: Denton County
8. Parker County
9. Kaufman County
10. Collin County
11. Tarrant County
"Severe weather can happen anytime, not just in the spring," Allstate's Kristen Freis said. "We want people to remember to stay prepared and to keep a plan in place throughout the year."
Allstate based its rankings on the number of insurance claims filed compared to the number of homes insured by the company, Freis said. To be considered for the list, a county needed to have at least 3,500 Allstate customers.
The rankings did not surprise Clay Drury, Owner of Like Nu Auto Paint and Body in Dallas. His crew has been busy making repairs to hail-damaged cars during the last few weeks. One van on his lot Wednesday was covered in more than 100 dents.

"This one got hit fast and hard," he said of the van, which will cost about $10,000 in total repairs.
