North Texas Volunteers Deploy to Flood-Ravaged Carolinas

North Texas relief workers will join efforts to help those affected by the historic flooding that followed Hurricane Florence.

Tuesday morning, North Texas relief workers will join efforts to help those affected by the historic flooding that followed Hurricane Florence on the East Coast.

Volunteers with Texas Baptist Men will deploy to flood-ravaged North Carolina with a 53-foot truck with supplies. The organizationโ€™s leaders explain the supplies will include insulated containers that keep food at the proper temperatures for safety. The team will also make a stop in Nashville, Tenn. to pick up roofing materials. [[493061321,C]]

These efforts come as Texas Baptist Men also continue working in South Texas. Volunteers are currently responding to re-flooding issues in the region where the organization has been an integral part of the rebuilding effort after Hurricane Harvey.
