A Lewisville taxi driver accused in the 2008 shooting death of his two teenage daughters has been named as one of the FBI's 10 most-wanted fugitives.
Federal and local authorities said Thursday that 57-year-old Egypt native Yaser Abdel Said is wanted for capital murder. A reward for information leading to his arrest has been increased from $20,000 to $100,000.
“Yaser Said has been on the run since he committed this heinous act, but we will not give up on our quest to bring him in," Irving Police Department Chief Larry Boyd said.
The bodies of the daughters, 18-year-old Amina and 17-year-old Sarah, were found on New Year's Day 2008 in a cab at a hotel in Irving. Investigators said they went with their father under the pretense of getting something to eat.
"This addition to the FBI’s 'Ten Most Wanted Fugitives' list illustrates the severity of his alleged crime and our commitment to seeking justice for Amina and Sarah," Special Agent in Charge Diego Rodriguez said in a statement.
Said was last seen in Irving in 2008, according to authorities. He is described as 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Officials said they consider Said armed and dangerous. He reportedly carries a weapon with him at all times and was known to keep a handgun in his taxi cab.

"We believe the combination of publicity, the significant reward offering, and the team of experienced investigators assembled by the Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force and Irving Police Department will lead to his arrest,” Rodriguez stated.
Said is the 504th person to be placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, 473 of which have been apprehended or located.
