North Mesquite Football Star Decommits from OU After Racist Video

North Mesquite High School offensive lineman Jean Delance has decommitted from the Sooners in the wake of a viral video of a University of Oklahoma fraternity chanting racially-insensitive remarks. It may be the first impact on the university's athletic program.

Delance, one of the top football prospects in the state of Texas in 2016, officially decommitted from OU, making the announcement via Twitter.

There had been rumors that Delance was reconsidering his commitment before the video became public. But when pressed by reporters Monday, Delance said the video as one of the reasons he will not be attending school in Norman, Okla.

Delance has scholarship offers from essentially every major college football program in the country --- Missouri, Oregon State, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Texas, Tennessee and LSU among them.

Delance tweeted Monday afternoon that the most recent offer came from the University of Alabama.
