“No Refusal” Over Holiday Weekend in Tarrant Co.

Fourth of July revelers beware, the upcoming holiday weekend in Tarrant County will be a "No Refusal" weekend.

What that means is, if you're pulled over for suspicion of drunken driving, and you refuse to provide the state with blood-alcohol evidence, the state will get a search warrant for your blood.

Participating police agencies in Tarrant County provide notice of the no tolerance weekend in hopes to deter people from drinking and driving in order keep the citizens of Tarrant County as safe as possible.

In a news release, the assistant district attorney for Tarrant County said, "The Tarrant County District Attorney's Office and the participating police agencies will use all legal means available to ensure that those who put the public at risk by driving while intoxicated will not be able to hide the evidence of their crime."

The "No Refusal" weekend will begin Friday and run through Sunday.
