New Lot May Ease Parking Problems Near Fort Worth's West 7th

Parking problems have plagued Fort Worth's busy West 7th Street.

In particular, a five-block, up-and-coming area called Crockett Row at West Seventh has seen a recent boom in business.

Now, business owners and the city are getting creative to help fix the parking problem.

Beginning Thursday night, a parking lot at Farrington Field is opening to accommodate late-night party-goers.

The West 7th Restaurant and Bar Association is working with the city of Fort Worth to lease the lot for at least the next few months.

The move comes after months of customer complaints that there are not enough parking spots in the growing area.

The lot at Farrington Field will be open Thursday through Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m for $10 per vehicle.
