Teen Missing in Grand Prairie Found Alive and Well

Family and friends say Samantha Guerrero had been missing since 10pm Friday

Grand Prairie Police said they found missing teenager Samantha Guerrero in Irving late Sunday night.

The 14-year-old from Laredo went missing Friday night in Grand Prairie, but she was located at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Grand Prairie Police said Guerrero appears to be in good health and she is being questioned about her disappearance.
Guerrero's mother said they were visiting friends and family on spring break.
Angelina Guerrero says her daughter was walking in front of a friend’s home on Tamara Lane and talking on her cell phone when she disappeared around 10 p.m.
“I figure she walked, she got distracted by the phone call, the phone died she panicked and I’m hoping she’s close by,” she said.
Guerrero said multiple calls to her daughter’s cell phone have gone unanswered. She said Samantha knows no one in the area and does not know her way around.
While police say this case does not fit the criteria for an Amber Alert because they do not have a reported abduction, nor do they have a suspect or specific vehicle description.
However, they are investigating every option.
“We thought there is some possibility of foul play here,” said Grand Prairie Lt. John Brimmer. “The mother says she’s not had a history of being a runaway, they are not having family problems of any kind – so she shouldn’t be coming up missing like this.”

Police said the investigation into Guerrero's disappearance is on-going.
