A suburban New York police department has named a new K-9 in honor of the five law enforcers killed in Dallas last month.
Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy Sini says the 15-month-old German shepherd is named Dallas V (five).
Sini says Dallas V "is a visual reminder of the sacrifice, of the bravery of those five officers."
The name was chosen by Dallas V's human partner, Officer Kenneth Michaels.
A video by New York's Newsday shows the high-spirited young dog in training.
