A North Texas woman has been arrested in connection with the death of her child.
According to Fort Worth police, Janice Rene Anthony, 19, was arrested Sept. 6 on charges of injury to a child after her child was found dead in their home.
Officers had been called to the home on the 5400-block of Enclave Circle on an investigation. Once inside, they found the child deceased on the floor. Police said the child had obvious signs of bruising to several areas of the body.
Anthony may face further charges pending the final ruling on the child's cause of death by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
Anthony is being held on $100,000 bond.
Investigators do not anticipate any other arrests in the case.
