Motel Fire Caused Traffic Problems in North Fort Worth

A fire at a Fort worth motel impacted traffic on Interstate 35W for hours Monday afternoon.[[298053551,C]]

Fire officials confirm to NBC 5 that smoke from the fire at a Motel 6 in the 4200 block of South Freeway Service Road near Seminary Drive blew into the interstate.

Police urged drivers to avoid the area.

The American Red Cross is assisting the approximately 35 people who were displaced due to the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire has been classified as undetermined, however, no criminal activity is suspected.
