Most and Least Expensive States for Car Repairs

A new survey from the RepairPal Institute shows the cost of car repairs can vary widely from state to state.  RepairPal looked at the average cost of three common repairs on three popular vehicles in ZIP codes across the U.S. 

The three most expensive states are:

1. Alaska ($1,374)

2. Michigan ($1,289)

3. Connecticut ($1,271)

The three most affordable states are:

1. West Virginia ($1,033)

2. Kentucky ($1,087)

3. Arkansas ($1,088)

Texas fell in the middle of the pack, ranking 27th out of 50 states with a total cost of $1,171.
