One of the most wanted sex offenders and Texas can be scratched off the Most Wanted list.
Derrick Dion Christopher, 38, was arrested Wednesday after an anonymous tip.
Christopher, according to the Texas Department of Public Service, was a high-risk sex offender in Fort Worth wanted for failing to register and for a probation violation.
Officials said Christopher was arrested without incident at a Fort Worth apartment complex Wednesday morning.
According to the DPS, "Christopher's criminal history includes Indecency with a Child involving an 11-year-old girl in Tarrant County in 2007. He was also convicted of Injury to a Child for burning the tops of two juveniles' feet with a bottle cap, Deadly Conduct for discharging a firearm and drug possession."
The tipster will receive $3,000 for the information leading to Christopher's arrest. Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor's Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.
