Body Found in Fort Worth Home Possibly Connected to Double Murder: Police

Police said they found a body in a Fort Worth home Tuesday possibly connected to the deaths of two people found buried in a shallow grave in Arlington last month.

Fort Worth police said the body was discovered at the house in the 6400 Woodway Drive. The victim's identity has not yet been released.

Fort Worth police say they've found a body in a home after they received a tip from Arlington police discovered during an investigation into a double murder last month.

Arlington police said the body was found during a joint investigation into a case that may involve Hector "El Cholo" Acosta-Ojeda.

Acosta-Ojeda was arrested last month โ€” along with Mariano Sanchez โ€” in connection with the deaths of 27-year-old Erick "Diablo" Zelaya and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Iris Chirinos. Zelaya's severed head was found near AT&T Stadium Sept. 2 while his and Chirinos' bodies were found behind a nearby house.

Arlington police confirm that the remains of a second body have been found Tuesday behind a house after human remains were first discovered in a nearby wooded area Saturday.

Police said two people are in custody in connection with the deaths of Zelaya and Chirinos. One has been charged with capital murder and the other with murder.
