Missing Lewisville Dog Found in Tennessee

A small dog who disappeared from her home in North Texas has turned up in Tennessee.

Melissa Born said her miniature Schnauzer, Snow White, was last seen at their Lewisville home in December of last year.

"She's been our world," said Born. "My kids were devastated to find out that she was missing."

This week, Snow White was found roaming the streets about a thousand miles away in Bristol, Tennessee.

Paige Rogers saw the small pup and knew she had to help her.

"I opened the door and said 'get in or you're going to stay' and she hopped right in (laughs)," Rogers said.

Rogers took Snow White to the vet to see if she had a microchip.

The scan revealed something Rogers didn't expect.

"It was in Texas! If only she could talk," said Rogers. "I'm like 'how did she get up here?'"

Rogers found the Born family and quickly contacted them in Lewisville.

"All three of us were sitting at home crying because she had been found," said Born.

She isn't sure how her dog ended up in Tennessee, but speculates that someone picked her up and took her on a road trip.

Born is traveling to Tennessee this weekend to reunite with Snow White and bring her back home to North Texas.
