Minor Injuries in Two Fort Worth Bus Crashes

Two bus crashes in Fort Worth left some passengers with minor injuries Thursday afternoon.

The first crash happened at about 4:48 p.m. on Lancaster Ave. and E. Loop 820 when another vehicle crashed into the back of a TRE bus and went under the bus.

MedStar said approximately 30 passengers were on the bus and confirmed that six passengers had minor injuries after the crash.

All passengers on the bus were picked up by another bus, so they could continue on their route, according to Joan Hunter with Trinity Railway Express.

The second crash a short time later involving an Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District bus happened at U.S. 287 and East Bonds Ranch Road.

Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD said the bus was hit from behind in the crash. No students were onboard the bus during the time of the crash.

Two other drivers were cited in the crash, however the driver of the bus was not.

Earlier information provided by emergency crews at the scene was incorrect.
