Mesquite Twin Peaks Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

    A Terrell man is dead after allegedly getting into an altercation with another group of people at the Twin Peaks location in Mesquite.

    The Mesquite Police Department says they received a call about gunshots ringing out at the restaurant at about 1:16 a.m. Saturday.

    It was reported to police that the argument started inside the restaurant and then escalated to the parking lot outside and resulted in two men being shot.

    35-year-old Ahmand Rashad Williams died shortly upon arrival at Dallas Regional Hospital.

    28-year-old Anthony Cole was also shot in the parking lot but he has since been released from Baylor Hospital.

    The shooter has been identified by police as 25-year-old Devoris Arnold from Dallas. He was arrested on Sunday and is in jail. Arnold is being charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
