One person was shot outside a Mesquite apartment complex Sunday night.[[320463962,R]]
Police said the shooting took place on the 1000 block of Cascade Street near the Westlake Village apartments and Hanby Elementary School.
The victim's brother called 911 saying his brother had been shot in the stomach, police said.
Detectives are centering their investigation at a nearby playground.
After speaking with the victim, police said they are searching for three people in connection with the shooting. A description of those involved is not yet available.
