Mesquite Pee Wee Football Trailer Stolen

Police have recovered a trailer full of equipment belonging to the Mesquite Pee Wee Football Organization after it was stolen from the football coordinator's driveway.

Rachael Carpenter said someone drove off with the truck and trailer of equipment that was parked in her driveway early Wednesday morning.

Inside the trailer were the team's brand new helmets, surround system and Cowboys canopies for the children.

“I walked outside this morning and our trailer's gone. It has all of our game day helmets in it. We just replaced all of our helmets. Just held a golf tournament, vendor fairs and parades during the off season to purchase the silver helmets,” said Carpenter.

Late Wednesday, she said she got a call from detectives who informed her they recovered the trailer from the front of a Dallas home. They did not mention any suspects or arrests.

The team will be able to pick up the trailer Thursday.

“I think really bad about people that want to steal, much less steal from kids. Get a job. These kids have worked hard on the off season. They’ve worked hard, just like me and you going to work every single day. They’ve done this during the off season to be able to have the new silver helmets,” said Carpenter.
