Police said two people are in custody and another is on the run after stealing a car and leading officers on a chase overnight in Mesquite.
Officers in mesquite said three people were involved in the theft of a blue Honda Civic sedan. The thieves led police on a chase before crashing the car in the 3700 block of Emerald Drive.
Police said they arrested two of the three after a search involving K-9 units from Rockwall and a police helicopter. At least one of the culprits was captured in the 2800 block of Catalina Drive.
No injuries were reported, and no names were released.
