McKinney police say a pair of 911 calls about a shooting came from the same neighborhood about apparently the same incident.
Police say both emergency calls were received shortly after 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
The first call came from a house located in the 3400 block of Steamboat Dr.
Police say a man, who lives alone, called saying he noticed someone inside his home, so he fired a shot and the person fled.
Lt. Scott Brewer says about two minutes later a 911 call, from the parents of a 13-year-old boy, reported the teen had been shot and it was not a self-inflicted wound. It happened in the 3400 block of Denver Dr.
Police say the boy was transported to a Dallas hospital. His condition wasn't immediately available.
McKinney is 30 miles north of Dallas.
