Mass of Thanksgiving Held After Dallas Abortion Clinic Closes

The closing of a Dallas abortion clinic drew prayers and praise Saturday.

Members of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee held a Mass of Thanksgiving Saturday morning outside of what was, until recently, The Northpark Medical Group.

Among other services, doctors at the facility performed abortions.

The Catholic Pro-Life Committee announced their mass on their website:

"The Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated at 8 a.m. by Monsignor Zimmerman at Christ the King, 8017 Preston Rd in Dallas, followed by a rosary procession by bus to the now-closed Northpark abortion facility, 8363 Meadow Road in Dallas. The Closing Memorial Service will be held outside Northpark from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with special clergy-lead prayers, readings, and hymns, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, led by Fr. Paul McCormick, O.Cist.  All are invited to return to Christ the King for a celebratory reception at 10:30 a.m. with special guests and inspiring speakers!"

The clinic is closing after strict regulations were put in place last summer that outlined how abortion clinics would be allowed to operate in the state of Texas.
