More than 9,000 men are expected to take part in the Man Power Conference at the Potters House.
Bishop T.D. Jakes is known for his role as Author, Movie Producer and Pastor to Mega Church The Potter's House.
And this week Bishop Jakes will hit another milestone as he brings 9-thousand together for the ManPower Men's conference.
Bishop Jakes began the conference in 1994, since then more than 150,000 lives have been changed from the inspirational conference geared for men only.
"Men internalize our pain, this is an opportunity not only for us to come together, strengthen each other through fellowship, common shared challenges that we face, but re-energize ourselves before God, it's a powerful thing, says Jakes."
Since 1994, thousands of men from around the World have come together to attend the ManPower conference. Each year lives are changed and communities are strengthened by the inspiration gained at the annual conference.
Men come from as far as Italy and worship, pray and learn how to deal with their struggles and emotions in life.
Bishop T.D. Jakes is expecting 9,000 men to attend the conference this week.
"I never would have thought growing up that I would be in the role that I'm in now, and that ManPower would develop to the degree that it has grown, and be able to touch as many men, said Bishop Jakes."
The Three-day conference, will be held Thursday, August 11 - Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Dallas at The Potter’s House, featuring eminent speakers, such as Bishop T.D. Jakes and other renowned guests including former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, who will share inspirational messages to men.
This year’s theme is ‘Breaking New Ground’.
