Pantego police say a man riding a bicycle died early Monday morning when he was hit by an SUV on West Pioneer Parkway.
The driver of the SUV didn't see the bike traveling in the same direction in the 2300 block of West Pioneer Parkway just after 4:30 a.m. according to police.
Police said the man on the bike, later identified as 22-year-old Jordan Trussell, was wearing dark clothing and the bike had no lights or reflectors.
Investigators don't believe alcohol or speed played a role in the collision and police don't expect the driver to face any charges.
