Man, Woman Arrested on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth After Chase

Police said they arrested a man and a woman on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth after a chase that started in Dallas County Sunday night.

Dallas police said officers were dispatched to the area near Jim Miller and Scyene roads at about 10:40 p.m. after reports of a woman screaming for help. An off-duty officer saw a vehicle suspected of being involved and began to follow it.

Police said the officer tried to stop the vehicle near the Dallas-Mesquite border, but the driver fled west on Interstate 30. Due to Dallas Police Department policy, they were unable to pursue.

A Dallas police helicopter was able to follow the vehicle and contact local agencies as the driver continued west.

Police said the chase ended on I-30 just east of Interstate 35W in downtown Fort Worth.
